Porcelain Pin Insulator are used on distribution line. It is mounted rigidly on a supporting structure by a spindle (or pin). The top of spindle or pin usually have steel lead or plastic thread which can screw into the Pin Insulator. Pin Insulator can have Zinc thimble with thread or porcelain thread to hold the spindle head.
The Porcelain pin Insulator with Zinc thimble can be supported by steel thread head spindle, Porcelain pin Insulator with porcelain thread can be supported by steel lead or plastic thread head spindle.
